The last newsletter I wrote was in March. COVID-19 was starting to affect our lives. We had no idea of what our new normal was to become. We closed for one week to give ourselves time to process what changes we would need to make at the shop and in our own lives.

We opened back up with a new determination to serve you, our community, in the best way we could. Heather spent many hours putting every skein of yarn onto our web page. We implemented shopping online and curbside service. We made some trips to the post office and mailed orders. We even did a few home porch deliveries. In time as our state and city leaders indicated we opened the store back up to you our community.

We are still unable to social gather at the shop, this has made having classes not possible. However, Deb Arney, our wonderful crochet teacher, and I have worked together to accomplish some quality zoom time with a few of you. Deb is now ready to start crochet classes on zoom. It is a fun way to stay connected and keep building our community.

The one area we have not been able to implement is knitting classes. Many of you were in the beginning of classes with Heather and we have not been able to get back together for them. If you need help, she is here and would be glad to get you going, by appointment, to finish your classes.

I cannot begin to tell you the impact that all of this has had on our business. I need to be honest – we need your business to stay in business. Your local yarn shop could very well close it’s doors if we are not selling yarn. We have everyone’s safety at heart when we opened back up to the community. We have masks if you need one and we are disinfecting as well. If you still feel uncomfortable coming in to shop please shop our website We can take payment over the phone and do curbside delivery to you.

We currently have a sale going on yarns we will not be ordering again. They are marked down and are available online on the website.

It is up to you our loyal and good customers to keep your yarn shop open. We want to be here for you and look forward to a time when we can again have classes and gather to laugh, tell stories, make friends and eat some good food together. Oh and of course knit, crochet, felt and spin some yarn. We hope to be here when that time comes again.
